End of October and the beginning of November

The end of October is one of my favorite holidays...Halloween. This year daddy and I didn't dress up with you because you are too young to really go trick or treating. Next year though, we will all dress up together :)

We did take you to a few houses though. You looked adorable in your costume. The family came over to be here and hang out for your first halloween. It was fun.

This was your pre trick or treating outfit. You weren't too excited about the hood, but I found it adorable.

Finally in your costume!

RAWR!

Decorated house on Halloween night

We had to recarve pumpkins since our first ones got all rotten :(

Hanging out before trick or treating

Finally time! Your first house.

All your goodies

I was hoping we would have had more trick or treaters at our house. I think we got like 4 or 5 groups. We had a ton of candy left over, which isn't that big of a deal because I have a major sweet tooth!

I would say it was a pretty darn good first Halloween, which you won't remember at all. Haha

I had found some picture ideas I liked on Pinterest and decided to try them out. So I cut some holes into a pumpkin, carved out the inside and then squished your little chunky butt into it! I thought for sure you would be mad sitting in the pumpkin, but you didn't even seem bothered!

I think you got bored a few times ;)

I think they turned out really cute!

We also went to the pumpkin patch to take some pictures. We started at the small pumpkin patch here in San Ramon. It was crowded and HOT.

I wasn't that happy with the way the pictures came out, so we went to another pumpkin patch and took more. This one was in Livermore, it was much cooler and WAY less crowded. Mental note made: do not go to the pumpkin patch for pictures on a saturday.

You loved riding in the wagon!

I like the pumpkin patch in Livermore better. I think we will go there next year too!

You received a beautiful gift in the mail...a handmade quilt by Auntie trisha. I love it and know you will grow to love it too.

FINALLY, our new couch came in. We had to move the black ones upstairs, which didn't fit. So we called uncle and grandpa as back-ups and they and daddy hoisted it onto the balcony and into the game room. I should have taken pictures of it. I love our new couch. It is big and comfy! We also installed new lighting into the front room which makes a HUGE difference.

Daddy decided to do some redecorating of his own. Apparently there was a spider the size of a tarantula on the wall and daddy's reaction was to kick it. Well his hulk strength put a huge hole in the wall. Good thing he can fix it himself!

We spent time hanging out too..and being silly of course!

This picture made me laugh so hard I couldn't breathe. You left these on for a little bit and it was hilarious.

Messy baby eating prunes!

First mohawk!

Received this text one morning on my way home from work. I love these texts in the morning :)

I can't believe how big you look here. You don't even look like a baby! I think you are pretty much the cutest thing EVER. And yes, I bought you the hat :)

Daddy and I went to the Disney store and bought you a few outfits for our big Disneyland trip coming up! We are so excited to go and I am sure I will get millions of pictures of you. I can't wait to see how you like it.

I really enjoy the time I get to feed you and you fall asleep. Very few times you fall asleep while nursing anymore, but it is such a great bonding time for us. Nothing is better than your baby falling asleep in your arms. I didn't realize how pro-breastfeeding I was going to be. But now I know, breast is best. I mean, you are 23 lbs! And you love your boobie milk thats for sure!

The beginning of November brought a very important event...the election for the next President. I was an anxious mess waiting to see who would win. This election help a lot of weight and had a lot of things in it that greatly impact not only my future, but yours as well. It ends up that Obama won again, not what my vision for this country was. All I can do is pray for him as the leader of our country. Try and hold onto faith and remember that although Obama is president, JESUS IS KING.

As you age, I will teach you what is means to educate yourself, to look outside the box. I will teach you what the Bible says about things, what God's plan for the world is. I want you to be independent and make your own choices, but I want to be sure to educate you on what God says because ultimately thats all that matters.

After all the election stuff...the stress, the arguing, the fighting..I got a reminder that some things in life are just way more important. You see Cash, prayer is a powerful thing. God hears our prayers and answers them. Now, that doesn't always mean his answer is the one we want, but it's the one He sees best fit for our lives and really, thats what matters because He knows best. God also performs miracles. He is faithful to his children. So I was reminded to not stop praying, and particularly for a friend and his fiance as she battles cancer. We are praying for you Gail and Jason. Stay strong.

You were learn Cash that some things we think are the end of the world, really aren't. You will learn that no matter what happens, God is always with you and He will protect you if you have a relationship with him.

You will learn the name Jesus. You will learn all about him, the miracles he perform and his purpose as the Son of God. You will learn because I am your mother and it is my duty to be sure you get to experience the joy that I have found in Christ. So that you too, can live in joy.

I love you baby.
