Life has seem to have gotten away from me...

Oh boy oh boy. So much for my updating once a week! Seems life got the best of me and pushed the fast forward button. Next thing I know, it's already the end of October! So in order to catch up and have some sort of update of the past like 3 months, I will be doing a series of posts.

You have been growing like a week and changing so much. It's like every day I open my eyes you are doing something new! Even going through the pictures to post on this blog made me realize how much you have grown.

You discovered a love for your play gym! It was so fun watching you play

 Cutest little hiney

A newborn outfit and a six month outfit. You were in this size at about 3 months
Your beanie that fit so well when you were a newborn!
 Comparing with a older picture

 So handsome

Starting to smile more and more!

 Holding your own bottle

Wearing your first pair of flip flops :)

 Playing in your Bumbo seat

 Hanging out on Steven's motorcycle

We bought you a big boy car seat cause you were so heavy in your infant one!

And you got your first pair of Vans to wear :)

You developed a love for the TV...

Got new jammies cause you are growing so fast! They are cute though

Sat in your stroller like a big boy for the first time!

Had some of the cutest outfits...

 Went swimming...you LOVE the water!

Your hair is starting to come in more. Little baby mohawk!

 Silly baby Nacho Libre
We had to retire your swing because you got too big!

And you became an escape artist!

You started learning to roll...

Still love to stand....

Figured out how to sit all on your own...

7 months old today

Loved riding in the shopping cart car

And you are trying to learn to crawl :)

Some comparisons of how you have changed...

But one thing hasn't changed...you are still a handsome and sweet boy that steals our hearts

 First experience with bubbles

At one point you decided sucking your thumb would be fun. Then you refused your binki. You no longer suck your thumb and are back to taking your binki again

We experienced lots of moments that made us laugh

Working with Grandpa

All buckled up (no we didn't drive like this)

Not phased by his sneeze

Daddy got you dressed a few times...silly guy

Mommy played dress up with you...against your will

Got a visit from the diaper fairy

And got more confirmation that you are truly your daddy's twin

We had a few joyous diaper explosions...only a few caught on camera. My favorite was when it leaked all down your leg in your toy and got all in the piano keys. I have a video of that one. Maybe I will post it later...

You started getting your shots at the dr. So far you have had 3 appointments with shots. You do fantastic every time. Just cry for a minute and then you are okay

Speaking of the dr, you are growing growing growing. At birth you were 8 lbs 5 oz and 21 inches long. At your one month check-up, 11 lbs 11 oz and At your two month, 14 lbs 11 oz and 24.5 inches. At your four month, 19 lbs 5 oz and 26.5 inches. And at your six month, 22 lbs 8 oz and 28.3 inches! Such a big boy.

We had our first, well second I think, experience with you pooping in the bath. We were playing with your foam letters spelling different things when you got the infamous poop face. We of course had to get pictures (while you finished. I wasn't going to change the bath water twice!) Thanks to Daddy for teaching you how to spell poo ;)

You weren't happy about getting out of the bath

Smiley baby

There have been several days were you refuse to let mommy put you down, so my only choice is to baby wear. Speaking of that...i need to find my wraps again.

Even was able to do some chores...

And you got bored and finally fell asleep

We even got Daddy in on the babywearing fun!

You took a nap in your crib. Notice how I said nap, not multiple. You have been sleeping in your pack n play lately. I need to get you into your crib. It's on my to do list...
Daddy couldn't stand you crying, so he came in to calm you.

Speaking of sleep...you are still just as adorable sleeping as you were as a newborn...

Sleeping with your lovey

Puffing out your chest as you sleep in your muscle man outfit

 Snoozing with daddy

Jammies Grandma bought you in Alaska

 Holding your binki in

Daddy's favorite outfit

 One of my favorites

Sleeping bag!

Little belly hanging out

You love sleeping with blankets over your face. It freaks me out.

Cuddling with your buddy

This is by far my favorite picture of you sleeping. You were sitting with Daddy and he got up and left. I starting wondering where you were and looked over and this is what I saw. Sleeping baby sitting straight up. It was classic.

Lots of moments being milk drunk...

Got gifts from friends and your mommy and daddy of course!

Matching family shirts from Lacey, Dawson and Kallie

A new toy mommy found you for $40!

Sweet vest with your name on it from Steven and Reba

Cute beanie and booties from B Fong

I've had my eyes on this rocker since before you were born. I just couldn't help myself :)

You got to experience your first ride on the merry-go-round and then a train ride later in the summer. You weren't too sure about the merry-go-round. We have to get you ready for Disneyland!

We went to a fundraiser for Sami school. We played games and this is where you rode the train with Grandpa and Uncle Grant.

You managed to get yourself a few girlfriends already too...

Your first kiss was from the beautiful miss Makenley :)

At Grandma Gow's 101st birthday

 At sweet Maeva's 1st birthday

I have a feeling this will be the first of many girlfriends for you. I am going to have to keep my eyes on you at all times. You better be nice to girls or I will whoop your butt!

The summer also brought many visits from family and friends.

Visiting with your GG

At cousin Andrew's Graduation

Meeting your other grandpa's family in San Jose. Wish you could have known your grandpa. You were so fussy this day! All you did was scream. Poor baby

Speaking of visits...your cousin Blace was in town all summer. We really miss him since he has move so far away. We loved having it. It felt like his time went by so fast. While he was here I was able to get some cousin pictures

Now that you're big enough, we started you on baby food. I promised you when we moved that I would make your baby food homemade an I did. You aren't too sure about it. You really love the boobie more :)

We started with baby oatmeal.

Not too sure about all of this...

Homemade baby food and momsicles. I made apples with the apple from our backyard, pears, avocado, green beans, sweet potatoes, banana, carrots, and squash.
 Trying out the sweet potatoes

Playing with a sippy cup for the first time!

Football season started back up. As you will come to learn, we are HUGE 49er fans. You have no choice but to be a Niner fan yourself, so don't even try anything different. We like to get together with family every Niner game and watch it together. You started the season crying at our cheers, but I think you are starting to get used to it.

Niners Jammies

Yes I bought you a Willis jersey :)

Just hanging out watching the game

Daddy trying to copy your moves

One of your crying fits from our cheering

And the famous picture...

I posted this picture on Twitter and tagged Patrick Willis in it. Well, he retweeted it. I was so excited! It meant he saw the picture and shared it for everyone else to see too! I wish it was of our faces, but it is still cool!

I can't wait until you are a little bit older and we can take you to games. I have such good memories of watching football with my dad. I hope you develop good memories as you get older too.

We went and watched Grandpa play baseball. That was a lot of fun. I love going and watching baseball.

Speaking of baseball, we are currently watching game 2 of the World Series. The Giants are playing. It's pretty awesome. Last night Pablo Sandoval, Panda, made history. 3 homeruns in one game. You were watching, sort of, but won't remember. I will tell you about it when you get older.

You spent a lot of time hanging and playing with daddy

Matching shoes

Daddy's face is so funny here

Visiting daddy at work

 Such a little guy!

 SO charming.

One of my favorite pictures of you and Daddy. Saying prayers together.

You hung out with mommy too!

And spent time together as a whole family, which is my favorite time.

Supporting a coworkers fiance as she fights a battle against lung cancer. She's winning :)

And I spent time realizing just how much I love you both.

And the moment I dreaded from the day I delivered you arrived, I had to go back to work. I think I spent the entire day before crying. And I cried before work for several weeks. I have been back at work now for about four months. It is still hard, but at least I don't cry anymore. I wish I could stay home with you. It is SO hard to leave. I hate losing precious time with you, but I really hope you know that I am doing this for you and your daddy. I do it to help give you all the things you could ever want and need. And just know, it is so hard. So unbelievably hard. It hurts to leave you. I work every night just to get to my days off. The days off that I get to be home with you and daddy. Some day I hope to be able to stay home with you always. There is nothing worse in the world than wanting so badly to stay home and be a mommy, but have to go to work.

I hope one day you are proud of me. Proud that your mommy is a nurse and goes to help others who are sick. It is a hard job, but can be very rewarding.

Enjoying last minute cuddles before leaving.

We did have a period where we had such a low census in the hospital that I was able to take nights off. Any night off I could get, I would take it. It was always so exciting to get the night off and have an extra night home with you and daddy.

I have had several bad nights at work. It seems you always have this sense of when I had a bad night. It always makes the stress go away when I come home to you and daddy. Especially when I look into your bed and see this...

So it's been a crazy last few months. A lot of growing for you. A lot of working for me and daddy. And a lot of lack of sleep. It is stressful, hard, frustrating, draining, but we wouldn't change a thing. You are incredible. You make us smile every day. We love your hugs and kisses. We love you. Everything about you. Every inch of your being. You make our hearts beat. You are our world.

And I promise to try and be better with the blog :)
